About Us

LOCAL STUFF: We offer good unpretentious reasonably priced food that appeals to a wide range of people. There are local beef items, burgers, steaks, many vegetarian options, fish, shrimp and chicken. We make a serious attempt to source local products as much as we can. We always have local maple syrup, goat cheese, beef from Foxbard Farm, sauerkraut and kimchi from "Real Pickles" of Greenfield and cider from Colrain. (the list changes as local items become available). We offer entrees, sandwiches, soups, salads, appetizers and burritos. We offer a full bar with local beers, local mead and hard cider as well as many locally produced spirits.

RESERVATIONS: We are a small and very busy restaurant. We accept some reservations as a courtesy. Out of consideration for our many "walk-in" customers we must follow certain policies:
We do not accept reservations for groups larger than 6.
We cannot reserve specific tables.
We cannot guarantee where your table will be.
We do not hold reserved tables longer than 15 minutes.

Please call 413 625 6216 and speak to one of our staff members.

Please Note: We have a very small kitchen. In order to expedite food to our seated customers in a timely fashion during peak busy times we reserve the right to restrict take-out orders.

ECO: We make an effort to have a minimal impact on the environment. We compost all organic waste including paper. We serve water only by request and recycle all recyclable containers. We try to serve straws only by request as well. All our used fry oil is given to a neighbor who uses it in his car.

FLOOD: On August 28, 2011 we suffered severe flood damage from Hurricane Irene which dumped 8-10 inches of rain in the area. The Deerfield River rose to the level of our deck, blew in the basement windows and completely filled our basement with 6 feet of turbulent muddy water. The river had not reached that level since the hurricane of 1938. Since it happened in the middle of our busy season we were fully stocked with thousands of dollars worth of food, beverage and alcohol which was all ruined. We were fortunate that it just barely made it to the first floor.
We re-opened 75 days after the flood on 11/11/11 at 11:11 AM.!!
All is well and we are open everyday for lunch and dinner except Mondays.
